My 2 product routine for an itch-free scalp and soft hair.

I’ve tried so many products for an itchy scalp that I’ve lost track. I tried the dandruff shampoos that make my scalp burn, natural shampoos that make my hair feel greasy, coconut oil that made my scalp oily, etc etc. When researching natural remedies, I came across aloe vera. The aloe vera plant has been used for thousands of years to treat skin conditions including sunburn, psoriasis, eczema, dandruff, dry skin and more. I decided to give it a try. Now, I’m not talking about the dyed green sticky gel you get from the drug store. You want the real deal.  I don’t have an aloe vera plant so I went on Amazon to find the closest thing to it. Here is what I found. Click the image to read the reviews:

After finding this, I came across an Aloe-based shampoo that was free of sulfates and parabens. I decided to purchase this as well.

Here’s what I did:

Step 1: ***Test the products on a small area of skin to make sure you don’t have skin sensitivities! If redness occurs, do not use the products.***

Step 2: Massage the aloe vera gel into your scalp and let absorb for 10 minutes. Rinse.

Step 3: Apply the aloe shampoo. Let the shampoo absorb for 2 minutes. Rinse.

Step 4: Blow dry or air dry your hair. Apply a quarter-sized amount of the aloe vera gel throughout hair.

The gel will quickly absorb into your hair and leave it feeling super soft and clean with no harsh chemicals! This aloe vera gel is not sticky at all and is almost a liquid consistency. Your scalp and hair will thank you for it! Make sure to not wash your hair for at least 2 days to not strip your hair of its natural oils. Let me know in the comments if you’ve tried aloe vera gel for any skin conditions!
